Jay Robb’s 3-Day Fruit Detox Diet Review – Does It Work?

These days, we are constantly bombarded by the newest die plan or product. The last one is called the 3-Day Fruit and Vegetable Diet by Jay Robb. According to Jay, your body can cleanse itself of toxins through special combinations of natural foods and fruits. If you follow the 3-day fruit rinse diet, toxins from your body can be flushed out along with excess weight. Does the 3 Day Fruit Flush Diet Really Work, or Is It Just a Gimmick?

First, let’s examine the diet plan. The plan lasts for 3 days and is quite simple: the first day is the day before washing, followed by two days of fruit washing. Their meals consist mainly of fresh fruits and vegetables. Additionally, you should also drink a small amount of protein shake, lean protein (chicken, beef, or turkey), olive oil, or flaxseed oil. Jay Robb claims that you can lose up to 9 pounds in 3 days.

However, I suspect that at best you can only lose water weight. This 3-day fruit spike is not a balanced and healthy diet as it is extremely low in calories. It is not feasible in the long term. In fact, you can even regain full weight once you resume normal meals. You may also notice that Jay Robb does not mention the importance of regular exercise.

Don’t get me wrong, I recommend that you increase your intake of fresh fruits and vegetables as they help improve your overall health. According to WebMD, you don’t need a diet or detox product to flush ‘toxins’ from your body. It is because your body does a wonderful job of natural cleansing. However, it is recommended that you increase your fiber intake to improve bowel movements.
