The advantages and disadvantages of flying in an airplane

Air travel is one of the fastest ways to travel on our planet. You can get from point A to point B much faster than all other modes of transportation. For example, when traveling to the same destination, a ship can take months while a plane will only take hours. Obviously, speed is the number one advantage to traveling on an airplane. There are other advantages too.

Comfort

Commercial planes are usually more comfortable to travel when the destination is far away. Occasional turbulence may be experienced while traveling in an aircraft. But this is nothing compared to the way a ship rocks in rough seas. Some people suffer from air sickness, but this is very rare.

Temperatures are kept at a comfortable level and entertainment may be available. You can choose to listen to relaxing music, watch videos, or even play Nintendo games on a plane. The level of comfort also depends on the type of seats you have purchased tickets for.

If you have a little more budget, you can consider buying a business class plane ticket. This is your ticket that will get you a seat that offers more legroom and personal space. You are also served by attentive flight attendants or stewardesses. If you need anything (eg blankets, food and wine, etc.), simply make a request and the items will be shipped to you without you having to leave your seat.

In addition to comfort, if you choose to travel by plane, you can also enjoy greater comfort.

convenience

It is more convenient to travel by plane, especially when you are in a hurry. You can easily book airline tickets from your favorite travel agency with just a phone call. Your travel agent will inform you of the next available flight and you can decide on the spot if you want to make a reservation.

Many metropolitan airports are served by numerous airlines. So unless it’s peak season, you should be able to book the tickets for whatever dates you want.

Furthermore, most international airports are equipped with comprehensive facilities to cater to the different needs of travelers. For example, you should be able to easily locate car rental services at most major airports. Such services provide greater comfort.

Perhaps the only major drawback to air travel is the price of the ticket. The price of the ticket depends on the airline you choose, the class of your seat and your destination. Larger, more established airlines tend to charge more compared to smaller airlines. Business class seats are more luxurious so they cost more than economy class seats. And of course, the more you travel, the more you have to pay.

Despite the higher prices, many still choose to travel by plane due to the speed, comfort and convenience that air travel offers. Air travel saves a lot of time. In addition, many low-cost airlines offer airline tickets at very affordable prices. That makes air travel a more attractive mode of transportation.
